Josh Merrifield is well known across Iowa and the Midwest as a network engineer and administrator. He has worked as an engineer for Sun Microsystems, Intel Corporation, Cisco Systems, the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Alliant Energy, Microsoft, and is currently a Senior IT Director at Rockwell Collins. He holds multiple Associate's and Bachelor's degrees in engineering and telecommunications, and is a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert, Certified Novell Engineer, Certified Novell Administrator, Certified Citrix Administrator and Certified Microsoft Systems Administrator. He's also a technical reviewer for Cisco networking certification exams and textbooks, and is a member of the Cisco Networking Academy.
Josh has been a sound engineer for the Kirkwood Vocal Music Department for the past four years. He provides live sound reinforcement for the three major vocal jazz concerts each year and any touring events that the vocal jazz groups participate in. He's also the webmaster for this website. Tucker Burnes

Tucker Burnes has been an audio engineer for over ten years, and has currently run his own recording studio, Tucker Burnes Recording, for over six years.
Tucker attended both the University of Northern Iowa and Kirkwood Community College after graduating from Jefferson High School. But in 1997 Tucker moved to Winter Park, Florida and attended Full Sail Real World Education where he earned his Associates of Science Degree in Recording Arts. After completion of his degree Tucker moved to New York City where he was an audio engineer and technical consultant for Dumptrack Music. While there he was responsible for studio design and setup, equipment selection and implementation, and studio troubleshooting. In 2001 he became a production Engineer with Sony Music Studios, were he was responsible for quality control of master recordings for Sony Music USA and Sony Music International.
In 2002 he returned to Iowa and opened his own recording studio in Iowa City. He provides in studio and remote audio recording and mixing to the Eastern Iowa area. During the summer of 2005 Kirkwood Community College brought Tucker onboard as a consultant and installation designer for Kirkwood's recording studio. Since then he has be the engineer responsible for all major recording sessions that occur at Kirkwood; including live events.
